Manchester City slithers to FA Cup Semi-Finals, United slides away

It surely is a ‘big game’, when it’s an English football game.
It’s was a sad day for the ‘red devils’ as Manchester United lost 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. in the quarter finals held on the 17th of March. The wolves surely outdid themselves as they defeated one of England’s greatest football teams in a very exciting spectacle of football.
It’s a good day nevertheless, for the Manchester City fans as they reach the Semi-finals of the FA Cup by thrashing the second tier Swansea City at 3 to 2 goals. Legend says, City got extremely lucky with a little bit of help from the referee. But, you know how myths (defeated fans) and sports go hand in hand. The City fans were immensely happy to see United leave the cup for good, as both teams hail from Manchester with a vicious type of friction surrounding their fans.
Manchester City’s performance has been entertaining; Swansea had grasped a 2-0 lead against City before the half hour. Matt Grimes seized his glory through a penalty shoot; the second goal came in with Bersant Celina’s swift shoot in the top right corner of the goal. The match lingered on hopelessly for City fans till the 69th minute, until Bernardo Silvo fetched City’s first goal in the game. Soon after; Sergio Aguero left Swansea goal keeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt in awe after the ball flew past him in a penalty shoot. The uplifted City players finally secured its victory moment when Aguero placed the ball in net with a fine header on the 88th minute.
It could mean a great deal for Manchester City if it wins the FA Cup; City has already won the Premier League, League Cup and are already in the Chmapions League finals.
Let’s see if Manchester City proves itself by achieving the prized quadruple of victories.
